Today, Rolling Hills Fire, B-shift had the opportunity to train alongside Broken Arrow Fire Department on fire ground operations.

Training with neighboring departments helps ensure we're all prepared to work together seamlessly when mutual aid calls come in. Reviewing hose deployment, water supply, pump operations, and communication strengthens our ability to provide the best possible service to our communities.

A big thank you to Broken Arrow Fire Department for taking the time to share their knowledge and work with our crews. These partnerships and training opportunities make all of us better firefighters.

Animal Rescue Success!

Yesterday, Rolling Hills Fire was dispatched to assist with a cat rescue after a curious feline fell through the open top of a hollow support pillar at a local apartment complex.

Working alongside our partners at Catoosa Professional Fire Fighters Local-4798, crews used ladders and rescue equipment to safely access the area and carefully free the trapped cat without injury.

After a successful rescue, the cat was transported to the City of Catoosa Animal Sheltert where will be placed on a mandatory hold while staff attempt to locate its owner. If unclaimed, it will be available for adoption.

Calls like these may not involve fire or medical emergencies, but helping both people and animals is part of what we're proud to do every day. A big thank you to Catoosa Fire Department for the teamwork and to everyone involved in giving this kitty a second chance.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Oklahoma, including the following
counties, Creek, Rogers, Tulsa and Wagoner.

* WHEN...Until 1245 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 937 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain
has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
