Way Back Wednesday: We’re looking back at one of our favorite service projects—our 1st annual Turkey Drive! 🍗

Thanks to the generosity of our members, donors, and community partners, the Kiwanis Club of Tulsa collected turkeys to add to Thanksgiving meal items to help provide complete holiday dinners for more than 40 families in West Tulsa.

Partnering with the Zarrow YMCA, we helped ensure families could gather around the table and enjoy a warm Thanksgiving meal together. From turkeys and stuffing to all the holiday favorites, this effort was made possible because our community came together!

Together, we made Thanksgiving a little brighter for dozens of local families and kids!

Lindsey Williams delivered an interesting program at this week's Tulsa Kiwanis Club meeting. As a leader with Toastmasters, Lindsey was able to discuss the history and the mission of that organization which was founded as a non-profit educational group to help people become more confident communicators. Communications is often the key to success.
Come join us to experience the consistent, quality programs we offer!

What an incredible weekend!

The Kiwanis Club of Tulsa was able to assist 67 children (35 students grades 6–12) prepare to go back to school in style!

While every child left with new clothing and a smile, one story will stay with us.

A mother of 3 was scheduled to shop Friday evening, but her transportation accidentally took her to the wrong location. By the time she arrived, she was late, overwhelmed, and in tears. We welcomed her with open arms, assured her everything would be okay, and made sure she had the same opportunity as all the other participants. She left with a full basket, a smile on her face, and one less worry as the school year begins.

Moments like these remind us that Child Spree is about so much more than clothing. It's about meeting families where they are, extending grace, and showing our community that kindness matters.

To every volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who made this event possible—thank you.

Your generosity helped provide confidence, dignity, and hope to 67 young people as they head back to school.

Together, we are changing lives—one child, one family, and one act of kindness at a time. 💙

Way Back Wednesday: We're looking back to April 30, when the Kiwanis Club of Tulsa proudly sponsored the meal at The City Lights Foundation of Oklahoma .

There is something special about seeing a smile over a hot burger, a cookie, and a simple act of kindness.

Our members had the opportunity during the weekly club meeting to hear an outstanding presentation by Lori Fullbright with News on 6 on recognizing scams, fraud, and the tactics criminals use to target individuals and organizations.

The session provided practical tips on protecting personal information, avoiding common scams, and staying vigilant in an ever-changing digital world.

Thank you, Lori, for sharing your expertise and helping make our community a little safer through education.

We appreciate your commitment to keeping Oklahomans informed.

Volunteers from The Kiwanis Club of Tulsa are set up and ready to help kids pick out new clothes and shoes for the upcoming school year. Each child gets a $100 to spend on clothes and $50 for a pair of shoes.

We knew the need was big but we were astounded by just how many applications we received. We had to close applications to be able to let our project leaders go through the applications. We are already working on how to increase our funds to serve more kids next year.

A huge shout out to Burlington-Tulsa Hills for providing us with space to check in families and working with us to serve the children of Tulsa.

After Monday's meeting. Kiwanis President Harvey Fields and Treasurer Mark Smith delivered the final installment of the Club's "April Shower" effort for Emergency Infant Services. Over $3000 was raised plus some supplies and toddler equipment was the result of this year's effort. We welcomed the contribution from the Tulsa Rotary Club and hope this may signal the possoibility of some cooperative efforts in the future.
