many middle schools, high schools, and college campuses host School Food Pantries.
(fyi- elementary schools often have a meal program that works a bit differently to help them at their age)

a Saturday enters the chat.
Our Distributions Team here at the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma hosted their first SATURDAY Free Family Farmers Market in Chelsea, OK

They plan to provide more of these Saturday opportunities for folks to get free fruits, veggies, and more in Rogers County.

Thank you to the Chelsea Library for being the location for this event!

Food Pantries we support in Rogers Co. can be found in:
Foyil, Claremore, Nowata, Oolagah and Inola.

School is BACK & so is the Junior Ambassador program at the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma!!

Who Can Apply?
High School Juniors & Seniors who can make a 1 school year commitment (meeting dates listed online)

What Will We Do?
- Expand leadership skills
- Become food advocates
- Visit OKC Capitol to speak with
Lawmakers about resources

we are SO GLAD to be a part of the Feeding America network of Food Banks 👏

The network reduces food waste as well as provides food across the country, informs local lawmakers, advocates for those facing food insecurity, and so much more!

the Food Bank received a $100,000 grant from the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies!! 🎉🎉

This grant was given specifically to help more kids in Eastern Oklahoma receive the food they need.
This includes food through our Summer Meals Program, daily afternoon snacks for the Tulsa Public Schools Summer Program and the rest to the Food for Kids programs: including the Backpack Program, School Pantries, and the Kids Cafe.

Thank you to the Schusterman Family for making it possible for more kids in Eastern Oklahoma to get the food they need!
