🌊☀️ ONE WEEK UNTIL OPENING DAY! ☀️🌊

The countdown is on! We are just ONE WEEK AWAY from kicking off another amazing pool season, with our scheduled opening day on Saturday, June 6th! 🎉🏊‍♀️

We're crossing our fingers for sunshine and warm weather as we dive into what we hope will be a fantastic opening weekend filled with friends, family, and plenty of poolside fun!

💦 Don't forget! Purchase your pool passes before opening day and save with our preseason discount! Passes can be purchased:
✅ Online via Square
✅ By mailing in your paperwork and payment
✅ In person at our carnival stand this week

🛟 We're still hiring Lifeguards!
We're looking for a few more certified lifeguards to help us through the season. If you're interested, please fill out our Google Form application—the link will be posted in the comments!

🤝 Want to help keep our community pool thriving?
We're also looking for a few dedicated volunteers to join our Board of Directors. We are especially hoping to fill a Vice President position, along with a few supportive board member roles. If you'd like to make a difference and help keep this little pool going strong, we'd love to hear from you!

🌊☀️ COMMUNITY WORK DAY IS BACK! ☀️🌊

Grab your sunscreen, work gloves, and your best “pool crew” attitude because we’re diving into another big cleanup day! 🏊‍♂️💪

📅 Saturday 5/23
⏰ Starting at 9AM

We’ve got:
🧼 LOTS of power washing on the concrete
🪑 Heavy chairs to move into place
🌱 Possible light yard work

If you know your way around a power washer or have the muscles to help move equipment, WE NEED YOU! 🙌

Every helping hand gets us one step closer to an amazing pool season for the community. Bring a friend, come ready to work, and let’s make this place sparkle! ✨🌴

🌟🌟🌟 Tomorrow is another BIG work day at the pool! 🌟🌟🌟

Starting at 10am, we’ll be painting the fiberglass walls, putting a second coat on the concrete floors, AND giving the baby pool a fresh coat of paint too! 💪

If we have extra hands, we also have power washing projects in the bathrooms ready to tackle!

Whether you can stay all day or just stop by for a little while, every helping hand makes a huge difference. Don’t be shy — come hang out, lend a hand, and help us keep the momentum going! 😁

🌊☀️ Pool Project Game Plan! ☀️🌊

We’ve been trying to wait out all this rain, but it’s finally time to get moving! Here’s the plan for the next few days as we keep pushing forward with improvements to the pool:

🧼 TODAY @ 4:30 PM
Pressure washing begins! We’ll be cleaning leaves and dirt out of the deep end and getting everything prepped and ready to go.

🎨 MONDAY @ 1:00 PM
Priming the walls so they can dry overnight and be ready for paint on Tuesday!

🖌️ TUESDAY @ 10:00 AM
First coat of paint goes down on the concrete AND the first coating on the walls!
Dry time is expected to be about 4–6 hours before the second coat can go on, and we’re hoping to tackle that Tuesday evening too!

🙌 If you can only stop by later in the day Tuesday, that would actually be a HUGE help!

We’ll continue posting updates as we go. Thank you all for the support, hard work, and excitement surrounding the pool project — we can’t wait to see it all come together! 💙🏊

It’s been a big few weeks here at The Exchange Pool, and we wanted to share what’s really been happening behind the scenes. When we pulled the cover off to start prepping for the season, our hearts sank — we found dozens of holes in the fiberglass walls and realized we’d lost a huge amount of water over the winter. It was a tough moment for all of us.

After countless phone calls, meetings, problem‑solving sessions, and yes… a few breakdowns, we finally found a way to get the repairs done. That alone felt like a victory. But now comes the next challenge: painting the pool so we can refill it. That means we need dry weather, willing hands, and a whole lot of teamwork to make it happen.

We want our community to know this: we are doing everything we can to open for the season. Our board is small — just a handful of dedicated women who care deeply about keeping this little pool alive for our town.
Our President Melinda Hopper, Past President Jillette Smith, Secretary Lisa Hartman, Treasurer Jordan Wright, and so many others who jump in whenever they can… they’re all giving their time, energy, and hearts to keep this place going.

If we end up opening a week or two late, please know we are truly sorry. We’re trying our absolute best. And right now, more than anything, we need hands, not just funds. The community has been incredibly generous financially, and we are so grateful — but now we need volunteers willing to help with the messy, sweaty, unglamorous work that keeps our pool alive.

If you’ve ever thought about helping, even just once, now is the moment. Your time could be the reason our little pool opens its gates this summer instead of becoming another one lost to the past.

Big shoutout to our amazing friends at Kawneer! 🙌🚪

Thanks to their incredible generosity, we now have BRAND NEW doors on our bathrooms and storage room—and they look fantastic! Not only did they donate the doors, but they also took the time to install everything. That kind of support makes a huge difference for us. 💙
