Big Brothers Big Sisters changes the way vulnerable children see the world and interact with it. We depend on donations to ensure child safety and provide support for children, families and volunteers to build and sustain strong relationships. Our programs are proven to reduce a child's risk of dropping out of school, becoming violent, using drugs and alcohol, and falling victim to other negative

cycles that threaten our society. Located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with nearly 175 children actively engaged in our programs, Big Brothers Big Sisters is changing the way children in West Alabama are growing up. A child with a Big Brother or Big Sister is:
• 46% less likely to begin using illegal drugs
• 52% less likely to skip school
• 33% less likely to hit someone
• Over half improve their school performance
• Nearly two-thirds show higher levels of self-confidence
