For the final three days of Give Methow, help us reach $75,000 in community giving to Give to All. When we reach that goal, the Community Foundation will contribute an additional $25,000 from the Methow Valley Fund, bringing at least $100k in support to all 50 nonprofits participating in Give Methow.

Aero Methow takes care of our friends and neighbors, and of each other!

Not only do we help coordinate care in the community, we’ve also implemented an award-winning Peer Support program to support each other. With compassion and an invested interest in every provider’s wellbeing our organizationally integrated wellness program ensures that all responders are mentally healthy and have the tools they need to deal with difficult situations.

100% Committed Regardless of Outcome

Insurance reimbursement rarely covers the full cost of providing care. Federal programs like Medicare and Medicaid often reimburse far below the actual cost of our service, and ONLY for service that results in ambulance transport.

Less than half of the 911 calls we respond to – and we respond to ALL OF THEM – result in transporting a patient to the hospital. This means at least half of our care is NOT reimbursed. Simply put: Increased 911 calls with no transport = budget shortfall.

We increased staffing to meet growing needs. In 2026, we committed to investing our reserve funds to increase our paramedic staffing so we can meet the increasing number of calls and ensure we can respond to your emergency when it happens. Current EMS Levy funding only covers part of our expenses. That's why we're asking for your support on the O&M Levy to help us afford to keep this level of staffing. Nearly three decades ago, The Cove began with a simple question: How can we help our neighbors in need?

In this episode of Between Here and Help, Nicole Ringgold sits down with The Cove founder and executive director Glenn Schmeckel and assistant director Rick Lewis to talk about what has grown from that question.

Today, The Cove provides food and financial assistance, supports local children and families, and brings together more than 100 volunteers. But as Glenn and Rick explain, the work has never been only about providing food. It is also about creating a place where people are welcomed without judgment, treated with dignity, and given the opportunity to sit down, share a meal, have a conversation, and feel connected.

What happens when an emergency occurs and every minute matters? 🚨🚨🚨

Join Aero Methow, Airlift Northwest, and Life Flight Network for a community information event about emergency medical transportation and air medical services in the Methow Valley. ⚕

The presentation and panel discussion will be facilitated by Nicole Ringgold, creator of the Between Here and Help podcast. Learn how these organizations work together, when air medical transport may be needed, and what our community should know before an emergency happens.

There will be time for audience questions, followed by information tables where you can connect with representatives and learn more about flight insurance and coverage options.

Come learn, ask questions, and better understand the emergency medical resources available to our community.

Community Programs
Our dedicated staff and volunteers do more than respond to 911 calls! Aero Methow has a focus to enhance community safety.

Our Injury prevention programs include: Helmet and Bike Safety Rodeos, Child Passenger Safety Seat Checks, Infant Anytime CPR kits, Babysitter First Aid and CPR, and senior falls prevention (S.A.I.L. class). Each year, over 100 community members benefit from these programs.
