Training for Volunteers begins this Thursday, at 5:30. We would love to have you and still have room in the class for a few more trainees.

There are approximately 137 churches in Delaware County. If every church had one person willing to be a CASA Volunteer, we would be able to eliminate our waitlist. Children in our community are in need of advocacy and support. Click the link below to see if Volunteering is right for you.

Welcome Back to School, Muncie schools start back today. Make time to listen to your child about their first day, know who their friends are and what they love about school. Thank you to all the school staff who look out for the safety and well being of the children in our Community.

Thank you to Marcia Freeman. She has been a CASA for 7 years this month. Marcia has advocated for 6 different families since she was sworn in as a Court Appointed Special Advocate.

CASA would like to thank the Muncie Knights of Columbus - Council 560 for their very generous donation of a canopy. We are working hard to recruit volunteers and being able to increase our visibility at events in this way is going to help so much. We asked the K of C for a donation and they gave us the entire amount we needed. We are so grateful for the support that we get from our community.

These women all went through training two years ago and are still advocating for the best interest of children involved with the court system. Gail loved it so much that she is now a staff member and advocates for around 30 children.

As children start heading back to school, local case loads typically rise. School staff are often the first to notice signs of abuse and neglect. Remember, YOU are a mandated reporter. IF you see something that concerns you, please do the right thing and make the call. You might save a childs life!

This month we have several anniversaries to celebrate.

We will start with Annya Mohlman and Ian Hart. Both of them were sworn in a year ago. Ian has been volunteering in the office for the last couple of months and plans to go to law school. Annya went through training so that she could be a support to her partner.

We appreciate them both for the support they have provided our program.
