Generations will be hosting the Circle of Friends Program at the Huntingburg Senior Center beginning 9/3/26. This is a 10 week program where we will explore different activities and make friends. To register or for more information, contact Cathy Jones 812-888-5159.

Good Samaritan Hospital's Chelsea Yager will be speaking at Dine with a Doc next Wednesday. She will be discussing Advancing Care through telemedicine and innovative treatments. The program is free, but we do serve lunch so if you want to attend, please call 812-888-5159 and leave a message by Monday 8/31/26 5 pm.

Please note that the Dementia Caregiver Support group scheduled for tomorrow at the Pike County Public Library has been cancelled. We will be taking a brief pause on the support group as we re-evaluate days and times for the group to meet. We will also be re-branding the support group. So stay tuned and we will be back soon!

Rock will be painted on this date and hidden around Pike County in September to draw awareness to dementia education/outreach and resources, as well as Dementia Friendly Pike County. What is Chronic Care Management (CCM)?

If you have two or more chronic health conditions—such as diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, or high blood pressure—that are expected to last at least 12 months or for the rest of your life, you may qualify for Chronic Care Management (CCM) services through Medicare.

CCM is a legitimate Medicare benefit that helps your health care provider coordinate your care between office visits. Services may include:
✔ Creating and updating your personalized care plan
✔ Managing your medications
✔ Coordinating care with specialists and other providers
✔ Monitoring your ongoing health needs
✔ Providing support to help you manage your chronic conditions

Before CCM services begin, your provider should explain the program and obtain your consent. You may also be responsible for a copayment unless you have supplemental coverage.

Always review your Medicare Summary Notice (MSN) or Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to make sure you recognize any CCM charges. If you see services you didn't receive or don't remember agreeing to, contact your local Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) for free, confidential assistance.

Knowing what Medicare covers is one of the best ways to protect yourself from fraud, errors, and abuse.
