We celebrated Asian American Heritage Month with a South Indian Dance Performance with Sarada Nori, Artistic Director of Layavinyasa School of Music. Sarada opened the performance by demonstrating some of the symbolic hand gestures or "mudras" used in Indian Dance and then used those gestures with music to tell a story about Krishna.

🟪 🎬 Join us for a special screening of the 2024 short film Elijah, directed by Razid Season and starring Mithila Gazi! Scenes from the movie, which was inspired by a real-life story, were filmed right here in Wallingford and include residents of the town in its cast. You are invited to join us for a post-screening discussion with the director, cast members, and local LGBTQIA+ advocate Jillian Celentano.

🚲 It's the last week of ! Even when the library is closed (like tomorrow for Memorial Day!) you can still use our bike repair stand and toolkit located under the library's back portico. When the library is open you can also check out some bike locks for the day to keep your bike secure while you're visiting--And don't forget to check out some biking books too! Bikers can also be readers! 📚
