Attention residents and visitors of Warren, the department will be conducting its annual driver training EVOC at the community school; there is no cause for alarm. We kindly request that you avoid the parking lot and, if you wish to observe or visit, park in the lower parking lot and locate a firefighter wearing a traffic vest, who will provide you with a guided tour of a fire truck. Please prioritize your safety.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the warden family and loved ones.

Three Injured in Warren Structure Fire

On April 30, 2026, at approximately 6:00 am, Warren Fire and Rescue responded to 288 Main Street in Warren for a reported structure fire. The building which is divided into three rental units is believed to be the oldest structure in that area of Warren. All units were occupied at the time of the fire, and all occupants were able to escape the building. The three occupants from the unit affected by the fire were transported by ambulance to Pen Bay Medical Center. One female suffered minor smoke inhalation. A second female, who exited by jumping from a second-floor window, sustained minor injuries from the jump. One male suffered from smoke inhalation and was later transferred to Maine Medical Center for further treatment. All injured victims have been released from the hospital. The origin of the fire was determined to be the first-floor living room, specifically the couch. The cause of the fire is believed to be the careless use of smoking materials.

Today's tragedy is a horrible reminder that you should put down your cell phones and slow down in construction and emergency zones. This hits extra close for our members, as we have an MDOT employee among our company. The Tiger Engine Company sends our thoughts and prayers to the families and MDOT. Please put the phone down and slow down. Save a life.
