WARREN LIBRARY - Tweens ages 9-12 can build their leadership skills with games and interactive lessons! They'll learn communication styles, interpret emotional expression, and practice collaboration. The four-week series will be held at 6 PM on Thursdays, Sept. 3, 10, 17, and 24. This free Youth For Peace program is a partnership with the YWCA Mahoning Valley.

As part of America’s 250th anniversary, we’re highlighting historic photos and the stories behind them. 🇺🇸 This month, we're featuring library service.

By 1934, the Warren Public Library had 12 rural branch libraries located in places ranging from gas stations to hardware stores. Bookmobile services began in 1938. This photo, dated 1948, shows a Bookmobile stop at the Lakeside Market in West Mecca, Ohio. Floyd Miller is pictured in the center with his back turned to the camera. He and his wife Mildred were both Bookmobile service librarians for the Warren Public Library.

This photo is part of the library's Trumbull Memory Project, an online archive of photographs, postcards, and documents celebrating the history of Trumbull County.
