On Saturday, August 29, 2026, at approximately 3:10 PM, a patrol officer was conducting traffic enforcement around Main Street and South Street in West Warren. The officer observed a motorcycle that had committed multiple traffic violations and attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop. Additional medical support was requested from West Brookfield Rescue Squad, Ware Fire Department, and Brimfield EMS. Brookfield Fire responded with an Engine and an Ambulance to assist at the landing zone and provide in town coverage. The Massachusetts State Police responded to assist with traffic control. Both motorcycle operators were flown to local trauma centers with life threatening injuries.
