The Trumbull County MetroParks system is comprised of six open parks, Western Reserve Greenway, Mahoning River Water Trail, Cooperation Station Off-Leash Dog Park and 12 properties in various stages of development. With activities ranging from fishing, biking, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, sledding, hunting, nature observations, cross country skiing, disc golf and picnicking.

The lottery for the 2025/2026 deer season will be Wednesday, September 11, 2025, at 10am at the Park Office in Howland. Hunters do NOT have to attend in person. Any questions please let me know.

The Oakfield Trailhead on the Western Reserve Greenway will be closed starting Monday, May 5, 2025, until the work is finished, for the slide repair on the trail. This money for this project is from the Appalachian Community Grant Program in partnership with Eastgate Council of Governments. Visitors to the trail can use one either the Lockwood Trailhead on State Route 87 or the Sunside Trailhead on State Route 305.
