Every year, during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Calvary Women’s Services’ Community Walk & Fun Run brings our community together to stand alongside survivors and recognize the strength it takes to rebuild after trauma.

This year, that message feels more urgent than ever.

Across our city, survivors of domestic violence continue to face significant barriers to safety and stability. Much of this is due to rising housing costs, financial uncertainty, and limited access to resources.

On October 3 at Anacostia Park, we invite you to join us for Calvary’s 7th Annual Community Walk & Fun Run. Madison brings a wealth of experience to our development team, and she is passionate about ensuring women experiencing homelessness have access to the housing, resources, and support they need to rebuild their lives.

My Sisters My Friends, one of Calvary’s Monthly Meal Champions, recently treated the residents at our Good Hope housing site to a delicious dinner of chicken wings, green beans, mac & cheese, rolls, and a tasty strawberry dessert. It was a huge hit!
