I have worked in DC doing social security exams. Usually I work in NYC and was shocked by the lack of services for the poor in DC. Also, the lack of adequate housing for the homeless exemplified by the tents outside Union Station. How can I help?

DVWMT Panel & Education is a great way to kick off Fathers Day. DVWMT 7th Annual Men Hurt Too Panel we are still breaking the stigma for men victims of domestic violence, because, men/boys should have never been left out and told things like "men don't cry" or "men don't show emotions" or "boy you're a man." All of these sayings don't allow boys/men to be emotional intelligent, instead, it has a negative effect on their emotional development. With this years panel we've included a speed dating concept to help open dialogue and hear from the floor. CDC research suggest, the US has 36 million men that are victims of physical abuse, and unfortunately, we have to many men that don't realize they are or have been a victim of domestic violence. This panel will provide you with a fresh perspective on where men/boys actually fit into the conversation.
