📣 WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! ❤️

The Waynesville-St. Robert Senior Center is looking for dependable volunteers who can commit to helping on a consistent weekly basis. Having familiar faces we can count on each week makes a HUGE difference in keeping everything running smoothly!

We currently need help with:

🖥️ Front Desk (10:00 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.)
📅 Tuesdays & Wednesdays
Help greet visitors, answer phones, and keep the front desk running smoothly.

🍽️ Kitchen/Serving Line
📅 Fridays (9:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.)
Help us serve lunch and keep our meal service moving!

🚚 Truck Unloading (times may vary but usually 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.)
📅 Tuesdays & Thursdays
We need helping hands to unload deliveries and get supplies where they need to go.

🎱 REGULAR BINGO CALLER NEEDED!
📅 Thursdays (12:45 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.)
Do you have a good voice, a little personality, and enjoy having fun? We are also looking for someone who can regularly call Bingo! Our Bingo crowd will keep you on your toes. 😉

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

We are especially looking for individuals who can choose a day and commit to volunteering that same day each week. Consistency is what we need most right now.

Workplace Lactation Support Funding Opportunity – Apply by August 22, 2026

Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), in partnership with the Missouri Breastfeeding Coalition, is offering funding to help Missouri worksites create or enhance lactation support accommodations. Worksites may apply for up to $500 to improve lactation spaces, update workplace policies and strengthen support for breastfeeding employees. This funding helps employers meet the requirements of the PUMP Act and supports healthier environments for Missouri families. Please share this opportunity with employers in your area.

Completed applications and breastfeeding support policies must be submitted by August 22, 2026. Award notifications will be issued by August 27, and all funded expenses must be completed and submitted for reimbursement by September 25, 2026.

Because of the many health benefits of breastfeeding, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends continued breastfeeding along with introducing appropriate complementary foods for up to 2 years of age or longer.
