West Greenwich Residents: We are having our rabies clinic along with Coventry. You must pre-register online by today at www.Coventrypd.org. Remember all dog licenses expire every April 30th. Rabies tags or rabies certificates are not dog licenses. You must license your dogs with your town clerks office. West Greenwich dog licenses are $8 each. You must have a current rabies certificate to license your dogs. So if your dog or cats needs a rabies vaccination this is your chance for a low cost rabies vaccination.

The West Greenwich Police Department recenlty issued Animal Control Officer Wendy Tavares an “Exceptional Service” award.

ACO Tavares goes above and beyond the scope of her duties.

Not only is she exceptional at locating and assisting animals in need, she nurses them to health, finds them loving homes, and helps our patrol division in gathering evidence and building criminal animal abuse cases.

Information she has located has led to the arrest of several suspects of animal abuse/neglect/abandonment. Chief Ramsay also notes her exceptional report writing skills.
