Lab 1!

Our first lab of the semester focused entirely on Drill and Ceremony! MS1 cadets learned the basics of D&C, focusing on facing movements, saluting, and positions of rest. MS2 cadets practiced commanding a squad sized element and marching as a platoon. MS3 cadets stepped up to lead a full platoon applying more advanced D&C skills! At the end of lab, all classes completed in a D&C competition, testing their attention to detail!

Great start to the semester, Boilers!

Today our Boiler Battalion Cadets had the opportunity to meet with General Steven Nordhaus, the Chief of the National Guard Bureau, and Senior Enlisted Advisor John Raines III. Cadets spoke with General Nordhaus and SEA Raines about the importance of the National Guard’s role in modern warfare and opportunities available in the Air and Army National Guard.

This was a tremendous opportunity for our Cadets! Thank you General Nordhaus and SEA Raines for your time!

August Battalion Competition🔨

On Wednesday, our Cadets competed in our first Battalion Competition of the year! Battalion Comps are a way for our Cadets to build morale and hone in their teamwork skills, while still having fun. Competing in 4 stations, Sprint Drag Carry Relay, Tower of Hanoi, Tire Flips, and Litter Carry, Bravo 2 came out on top, taking home the Hammer!!

Zero Week!

We welcomed our Boiler Battalion Cadets back to campus for the start of a new year! The week wrapped up with our Battalion Activation Ceremony, where we recognized Cadets who earned national scholarships, attended specialty schools over the summer, and graduated in the top 15% of Advanced Camp.

On Thursday, our MS3 Cadets put their skills to the test at The Event, tackling the Obstacle Course, Day Land Navigation, and a STX Lane. This kicked off a year of training that will prepare them for Advanced Camp next summer. Great way to kick off the semester. Welcome back, Boilers!

Congratulations to CDTs Kim and Quigley for graduating from the Sabalauski Air Assault School at Fort Campbell, KY!

Known as “The Ten Toughest Days in the Army,” the course trains Soldiers in air assault operations, sling-load procedures, and rappelling techniques, divided into Combat Assault, Sling Load, and Rappel phases. Graduation requires a 12-mile road march with equipment in under three hours, after which these cadets earned their Air Assault wings. A well-deserved achievement, congratulations on this milestone!
