Welcome to the official page of Potomac Fire Company No. 2, Inc. 🚒 Serving and protecting the Westernport, MD community with dedication—100% volunteer, 100% committed. About 3,900 citizens encompass our first-due area. We also run mutual aid to Mineral County, WV, and Garrett County, MD. We operate four units an Engine-Tanker, Engine, Heavy Rescue Squad, and a Brush Unit. We have approxim

ately 50 volunteer members and associate members. We also are a member of the Allegany County Special Operations Rope Team, a Member of the Allegany Garrett Counties Volunteer Fire Rescue Association, and the Maryland State Firemen's Association. We're proud members of the Allegany Garrett Counties Volunteer Fire Rescue Association and Maryland State Firemen's Association.

Join us for the 114th Annual Convention of the Allegany Garrett Counties Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association hosted by Potomac Fire Company No. 2!

**All activities will take place at Potomac Fire Company No. 2 unless otherwise specified.**

🕘 Prayer Breakfast – 9 AM
⛪ Memorial Service (Open to the Public) – 10 AM at St. James Episcopal Church
📋 1st Business Session – 11 AM
🍽️ Joint Luncheon – 12 PM
📋 2nd Business Session – 1 PM
🎓 Scholarship Presentation – 4:30 PM
🚒 Parade Judging & Lineup – 4–6 PM at Westernport Elementary School
🚨 Convention Parade – 6 PM through Westernport ending at Creekside Park

Following the parade, join us at Creekside Park for the Annual Awards Ceremony, parade awards, live music, food, and fellowship! Hamburgers, hot dogs, sausages, chips, soda, and specialty drinks from Sip Happens Pour Decisions will be available for purchase.

We look forward to seeing members, families, and the community for a day of tradition, remembrance, fellowship, and celebration!

UPDATE | @ 8:58 p.m. | - U.S. Route 220 has been reopened.

One person was injured in a motorcycle crash in the 25000 block of McMullen Highway Saturday evening, according to an Allegany County Joint Communications Center spokesperson.

Units from Allegany and Mineral counties responded to the incident that was first report just after 8 p.m.

U.S. Route 220 is currently closed, according to the Joint Communications Center.

The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

Join us for the After Party in the Park following the Allegany Garrett Counties Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association Convention parade!

Come enjoy sausages, hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, soda, and specialty drinks from Sip Happens Pour Decisions — featuring dirty sodas, specialty lemonades, sweets, and more!

Most importantly, a portion of proceeds will support The Care Closet the emergency services resource supported by the Association, helping provide needed items to those who serve our communities.

We’d like to extend another sincere thank you to Jonathan Tate, Food on the Stove, and M&T Bank for inviting us to the Dress Blue Reception in Washington, D.C., this past weekend.
