Mineral County EMS is a licensed EMS agency, providing advanced life support capabilities to Mineral County, WV, and the surrounding area. We geographically cover 309 square miles and service roughly 27,000 citizens, as well as visitors to the area. Our state of the art chase vehicle, known as "Response 1", is equipped with the most up to date medical technology, and staffed by highly experienced
and capable paramedics. In addition to our front line staff, our medical director and program director, Dr. Catherine Kirbos, frequently provides real time medical command on scene. Mineral County EMS also partners with multiple local and surrounding area colleges and educational institutes, acting as a precepting site for future EMT basics, Advanced EMTs and Paramedics. We take pride in our education and training, focusing on evidence based medicine and incorporating the most advanced pre-hospital care protocols and techniques available to our state. Additionally, we focus on building community relationships and fostering county wide volunteerism by engaging in open trainings, educational sessions, and other community based activities. Mineral County EMS is proud to support our volunteer EMS and Fire agencies, the Mineral County Commission and the overall community at large. Our goal is to provide high quality, timely and compassionate care to all citizens.
