G. Solicitations of commerce or advertisements;
H. Illegal content or encouragement of illegal activities;
I. Information that may tend to compromise safety or security of the public or public systems;
J. Accusations or implications that a particular individual is guilty of any criminal conduct or immoral activity. Defamatory material will not be permitted. If a person believes that there is a legitimate basis to make a complaint against the City, any of its employees or any third party, then appropriate alternative means of registering the complaint must be utilized. City social media sites are not appropriate forums for registering allegations of criminal activity or other accusations against individuals;
K. Content containing personally identifiable information such as Social Security Numbers or City employee personal email addresses;
L. Content that violates a legal ownership interest of any other party;
M. Content that violates federal, state or local law. ATTENTION WHITEHALL RESIDENTS
Whitehall City Council is accepting resumes for appointment to the vacancy of Whitehall City Treasurer. The
appointment is to fill an unexpired term ending on December 31, 2027.
Applicants must be a Whitehall resident and meet all legal requirements to hold public office.
If you are interested in serving your community in this capacity, please submit a letter of interest and/or resume
in writing to the Clerk of Council, Whitehall City Council Office, 360 South Yearling Road, Whitehall, Ohio 43213 or

Resumes will be accepted until the close of business on Friday, July 24, 2026.
JOB SUMMARY AND DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE WORK:
The Treasurer shall be the custodian of all money belonging to the City and subject to the provision of any specific
trust, of all money held in trust by it.
The City Treasurer shall keep, preserve and deposit the same as provided by ordinance of Council.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Shall keep an accurate, systematized and detailed account of all money received and disbursed by him/
her.
2. Monitors cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available.
3. Reconciles city checking account and makes deposits to the bank.
4. Maintains updated information in all accounts and ensures all accounts are balanced.
5. Maintains relationships between the City and each financial institution, State Treasurer’s Office, and City
investment advisors.
6. Attendance at City Council meetings to submit any reports necessary. Regular, predictable, and punctual
attendance is required.
7. Working Conditions: Work is performed in a normal office environment. Work can also be done from a
home office through a virtual private network in evenings and on weekends.

Public Meeting Notice:

The City of Whitehall is seeking funding assistance from the Ohio Public Works Commission for roadway improvements on East Broad Street, between Beechwood Road and ~66 feet west of the private road for Eastway Village Apartments. The City will be hosting a public information session to discuss the planned roadway improvements and to obtain property owner and resident feedback. The concept for this improvement includes the following components:

• Rehabilitation of the roadway pavement and curbing
• Sidewalk replacement and addition of multi-use trail with ADA compliant curb ramps
• Maintenance and improvements to the existing storm sewer system
• Streetlight improvements

The public meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 21st at 7:00 pm, at City Hall located at 360 South Yearling Road. We welcome your participation during this forum. If you cannot attend but would like more information, please contact the Whitehall Public Service Department at 614-237-8612.
