🚌🚗🚲 SAFE TRAVELS, WILDCATS! 🚶‍♀️🚦💚

Monday, August 17th is the first day of school for many of our Mulvane students! As everyone settles back into the school-year routine, please help us make the trip to and from school a safe one!

A few reminders for our entire community:

🚌 Watch for school buses and always stop when the red lights are flashing and the stop arm is extended.

🚸 Slow down in school zones and be alert for students crossing streets, walking between vehicles, or entering crosswalks.

🚗 Allow extra time. Drop-off and pick-up areas will be busier than usual during the first few days of school.

🚲 Watch for walkers and bike riders, especially near schools, intersections, and neighborhoods.

📵 Put the phone down and keep your attention on the road.

👀 Students: Look both ways, use designated crossings when available, and stay alert and focused as you travel to and from school.

A little extra patience and attention can make a big difference. 💚🤍

We’re excited to welcome our Wildcats back for the 2026-27 school year! A few quick reminders as you prepare for the first day:

📚 Double-check your student’s school start time and first-week schedule.
⏰ Remember: Wednesdays are Late Start days.
🍎 Make sure your student’s meal account is ready to go.
🔋 Middle and high school students: Charge those Chromebooks tonight!
📁 Families: Be sure to check your child’s folder/backpack each evening for important information.

Preparing for a GREAT year together! 🐾

Today, our classified staff—including food service staff, para educators, bus drivers and transportation staff, — all came together to prepare for another great school year!

Our back-to-school training focused on important work with our Safety, Mental Health, and Wellness teams, equipping staff with knowledge and tools to help keep our students safe, supported, and ready to learn.

We are grateful for the many educators who make a difference in the lives of our students every day.

Back to School Night is almost here!!! Join us on Thursday, August 13th from 4-7pm for Open House in all Mulvane Schools. Bring your school supplies and come meet the teachers.

Also, Wildcat Academy Virtual School orientation will take place at the high school and middle school. Fall Sports Parent Meetings will take place at Mulvane Middle School and Mulvane High School at 7pm.

We can't wait to see all of our Wildcat families!!

🎉 What a GREAT day to kick off the 2026–2027 school year at USD 263! 🎉

Today was all about learning, connecting, and getting ready for another incredible year in the district! Our staff kicked off the 2026 District Kickoff with some excellent training sessions designed to help us continue growing and serving our students at the highest level. 📚💡

We also enjoyed a fantastic late morning visiting with the many vendors who joined us and shared valuable resources, ideas, and opportunities with our staff. We truly appreciate everyone who took the time to be part of our kickoff!

And, of course, we wrapped up the morning with a wonderful lunch provided by El Ranchito! 🌯❤️ Thank you for helping make the day even better!

We are excited, energized, and as we get ready for an amazing 2026–2027 school year! 🐾💚

We can't wait to welcome our Wildcat families back for the 2026-27 school year!

Back to School Night is a great opportunity to:
🎒 Drop off school supplies
👋 Meet your teachers
🏫 Explore your school and get familiar with the building before the first day of class

💻🛜 Wildcat Academy Students, Parents, & Learning Coaches will also have virtual school orientation.

🏈 Families of middle and high school fall athletes: Parent meetings will begin at 7:00 p.m. at Mulvane Middle School and Mulvane High School immediately following Back to School Night.

We look forward to seeing everyone as we kick off another amazing year of learning, growth, and Wildcat pride.
