Let’s keep property and lives safe during this terribly dry season. οΏΌ
🚩 A Red Flag Warning is in place due to strong winds and low relative humidity in our area, creating critical fire weather conditions. This warning remains effective until 4 AM CDT Sunday. The burn ban remains in place.

Burn ban notice effective immediately.
From Governor Pillen:
Due to the increased threat of wildfires as a result of the dry and windy conditions across the state, I have issued a statewide burn ban β€” effective immediately β€” to help reduce the potential for additional wildfires in Nebraska.

My executive order prohibits burning and will remain in effect until 11:59 p.m. on March 27.

With the possibility of severe weather in our area this afternoon, here is a reminder of the difference between a Tornado Siren and a Fire Siren.

A long steady siren in one tone. This is heard when a tornado, funnel cloud, or radar-indicated rotation is detected, signaling imminent danger. Seek shelter in a basement or an interior room with no windows.

πŸ”₯ π…π’π«πž π’π’π«πžπ§:πŸ”₯
An alternating high/low tone. This is an alert for first responders in regard to a fire call.

Have a plan in place for you and your loved ones. Your safety is important.

(2/19)The current road conditions in our area are very poor especially traveling north & south. The limited visibility and blowing snow is making travel difficult. If you are able to stay off the roads, please do so. If not, use caution and go very slowly.

Watch for emergency vehicles along the side of the road & please help to keep us all safe by being aware of your surroundings.
Thank you!!!
