“May the Fourth be with you.”

A phrase recognised around the world—
and a date that carries even deeper meaning.

On May 4, we recognize and honor real heroes.

Firefighters who step forward when others step back.
Who face the unknown with courage, commitment, and strength.
Who stand between danger and the community.

Today, across the world, we say:
May the Fourth be with you—
and with all who serve! 👩‍🚒 🚒 🧑‍🚒

Wow—what a night! 🎹🎶

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who purchased tickets and came out to support our Dueling Pianos fundraiser. You showed up BIG! We heard the singing, saw the dancing, and best of all—so many of you told us, “we hope you do this again!” That means everything.

New Dueling Pianos—you were simply amazing. Thank you for bringing such fun, high-energy entertainment to Wild Rose!

We are incredibly grateful for the support from our community and our friends. Events like this wouldn’t be possible without all of you. ❤️

Fire danger is very high again today, April 23, 2026, and burn permits have been suspended statewide where the DNR has fire protection responsibility.

Please avoid all burning until conditions improve.

Although the state received significant rainfall last week, the grasses and leaf litter on the ground dry out extremely quickly. Firefighters refer to this vegetation as "1-hour fuels" – in part, because they can dry out in about an hour after a rain event.

Fire can spready very quickly in 1-hour fuels with gusty winds and low relative humidity. In addition, northwest Wisconsin is still experiencing abnormally dry to moderate drought conditions.

Check any recent burns for smoldering embers and make sure they are cold as fires have the potential to rekindle and escape today with increasing winds. Moderating conditions are expected tonight with rain moving in.

Stay up to date on fire conditions: https://apps.dnr.wi.gov/wisburn/ #/

Wisconsin’s annual statewide tornado drills will take place on April 16 at 1:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.

Schools, businesses, and homes are encouraged to practice going to their nearest tornado shelter during the drills, as if there were an actual tornado warning in effect. Ideal tornado shelters can include a basement, a ground floor interior room of a building, or a specially constructed safe room designed to withstand high winds and falling debris.

If there is a threat of severe weather in Wisconsin on April 16, the statewide drills will be postponed until Friday, April 17. The drills will go on in all other conditions, including non-severe weather (clouds, rain, dark sky, scattered thunderstorms, etc.). If severe weather is also expected on Friday, the drills will be cancelled. Notification of the drill status will be posted at http://readywisconsin.wi.gov by 10 a.m. on the morning of April 16.
