August 4th, 2026 marked the end of an era for me as I officially retired from Fairfield County Council on Aging, Inc. The past 29 years have been a blast, filled with too many blessings to count! I’m extremely proud of the work we have done for Fairfield’s seniors, it’s truly been a labor of love! Thank you for trusting me to serve Fairfield County’s seniors, it’s been a complete honor. Now it’s time to move on to different adventures but anyone who knows me, knows my heart remains with the seniors! Some friends “dropped by” to see me off. As we look ahead to our nation’s 250th birthday this July 4th, the Fairfield County Council on Aging invites our community to pause and reflect on the history, service, and shared values that bring us together.

We hope you enjoy a safe and meaningful holiday celebrating with family, friends, and neighbors.

Please note: Our office will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in observance of Independence Day. We will reopen with regular hours on Monday, July 6th.

Yesterday, we gathered to celebrate Susan’s retirement! She’s served as Finance Director and our right hand for 26 years and we will miss her at the office everyday. Congratulations on your well deserved retirement, Susan! We love you!
