Today was an especially meaningful day as I had the privilege of watching my son graduate.

Like so many families celebrating this season, I am grateful for the opportunity to witness such an important milestone and reflect on the hard work and dedication that made it possible.

Graduation season is officially underway, and it remains one of my favorite times of the year.

There is nothing quite like watching students celebrate a milestone they have worked so hard to achieve and seeing the pride shared by their families, teachers, and loved ones.

Congratulations to today's graduates from
Battlefield High School, Gainesville High School and Colgan High School. I can't wait to celebrate many more students in the weeks ahead.

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Memorial Day is a time for reflection, gratitude, and unity as we recognize those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms we cherish.

Keeping communities together is vital to the fabric of our county. I am so appreciative of the work that community activists, Prince William County staff, and others have done to prevent residents in 27 mobile homes from being evicted.

I spent Sunday evening at a celebratory BBQ and toured the community to better understand their needs. Housing is one of our most basic needs - everyone deserves a safe place to cal home.
