As we head into another day of high fire danger, UPRHSD and our county partners want to remind our community that preparedness starts before the emergency.

Take time today to check your go bag, refill medications, charge devices, fuel your vehicle, plan for pets or livestock, and make sure everyone in your home knows where to go and how to communicate.

The best time to prepare is before you have to leave. A little planning now can make a big difference later.

With high fire danger in our area this week, UPRHSD is teaming up with our county partners to encourage everyone to plan ahead and be ready before an evacuation notice is ever given.

Power outages, storms, and wildfires can happen quickly and without much warning. Lessons learned from past incidents remind us that being prepared ahead of time can make all the difference when every minute counts.

Take a few minutes today to review your evacuation plan, gather your emergency go bag, prepare medications and medical supplies, and make sure your family, pets, and vehicles are ready to go at a moment’s notice.

Preparedness helps lead to safer outcomes. Plan ahead. Stay informed. Stay safe.
