Don't Delay. Report Right Away.
Elder abuse affects millions of older adults every year, yet many cases are never reported.
Silence allows abuse to continue.
Reporting quickly can:
• Stop ongoing physical or mental harm
• Protect financial assets
• Connect victims to support services
• Hold offenders accountable
Growing older should never mean becoming vulnerable to abuse.

Trust your instincts. If you suspect abuse or neglect, don’t wait.

Don't Delay. Report Right Away.
Elder abuse often happens behind closed doors.
It can look like:
• Physical harm
• Emotional abuse
• Neglect
• Financial exploitation
• Isolation from family and friends
The sooner abuse is reported:
✔️ The sooner help can begin
✔️ The greater the chance of preventing further harm
✔️ The more resources can be provided to support the victim
Our seniors deserve safety, dignity, and respect.

We are incredibly grateful to see two Safe Haven Baby Boxes coming to Yuma.

While we hope every parent has the support and resources they need, we also recognize that some families face overwhelming circumstances and difficult decisions. Safe Haven Baby Boxes provide a secure, anonymous, and legal option for parents in crisis, ensuring that infants can be safely surrendered and immediately cared for.

This is an important step forward for Yuma and a reminder that when a community comes together to support its most vulnerable members, lives can be changed for the better.

Thank you to Rural Metro Fire Department for helping bring awareness to this important addition to our community. ❤️

‼️IMPORTANT INFORMATION‼️

Stay tuned and follow our page for updates on this program. We will be announcing locations and details on how to be part of the unveiling/blessing of the baby boxes and the program in the upcoming weeks. 😊

Every older adult deserves to live with dignity, safety, and respect. This June, during Elder Abuse Awareness Month, we stand together to shine a light on an issue that too often goes unseen.

Elder abuse can happen to anyone, and it happens more often than many realize.
▪️ 1 in 10 older adults experience some form of abuse each year
▪️ Only 1 in 14 cases are ever reported
▪️ Financial exploitation impacts nearly 5 million older adults annually
▪️ Individuals living with dementia are at an even greater risk
▪️ In nearly 60% of cases, the abuser is a family member

Abuse can take many forms, including physical, emotional, financial, neglect, and exploitation. By learning the signs, checking in on loved ones, and speaking up when something feels wrong, we can help protect the older adults in our community.

This Elder Abuse Awareness Month, let’s work together to create a community where every senior feels valued, heard, and safe.

Don’t Delay. Report Right Away.

Human trafficking often hides in plain sight.
If something feels wrong, it probably is.

Red flags may include:
• Someone who seems controlled or fearful
• Signs of physical abuse
• Inability to speak for themselves
• Restricted movement or constant monitoring

Your quick action could interrupt exploitation and save someone’s life.
Trust your instincts. Make the report.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, we reflect with gratitude on the freedoms we enjoy because of those who gave everything to protect them.

From all of us at Amberly’s Place, we extend our deepest appreciation to our fallen heroes and their families. May we always remember their sacrifice and carry their legacy forward with honor and compassion.

Amberly's Place believes every victim deserves safety, protection, and peace of mind, not just for a moment, but for a lifetime.

We are proud to have worked alongside advocates and lawmakers to support the passage of Senate Bill 1211, legislation that allows victims of domestic violence to seek a lifetime injunction against offenders convicted of felony aggravated harassment involving domestic violence. This applies to offenders who continued to harass and intimidate victims despite existing court orders and prior domestic violence convictions involving the same victim. This proclamation represents more than a policy change; it symbolizes hope, security, accountability, and a stronger future for survivors and their families.

For many victims, healing does not end when a case closes. The fear and trauma can last for years. This law helps ensure survivors can remain protected for as long as they need.

We want to celebrate this important step forward in victim advocacy and protection, while continuing our mission to stand beside every survivor who walks through our doors.

Together, we are creating safer communities and giving victims the protection they deserve. 💜
