Pike County Schools is aware of a social media post advising students not to attend school due to a reported safety concern involving “PCHS.”
After reviewing the information and following up on the report, we have determined that the social media activity is associated with Port Charlotte High School in Florida, not Pike County High School in Zebulon, Georgia.
We understand that messages like these can cause concern for students, parents, staff, and our community. The safety of our students and employees remains our highest priority, and we take all reports of potential threats seriously.
We encourage families to rely on official Pike County Schools communications for accurate information and to avoid sharing unverified social media posts that may create unnecessary alarm.
