KEYNOTE ADDRESS BY CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF THE MINISTRYโS NEW LOGO AND VISION
Distinguished guests, members of Management, staff of the Ministry of Revenue, ladies and gentlemen, good morning.
It is both a privilege and an honour to stand before you today as we mark a significant milestone in the journey of the Ministry of Revenue through the official launch of our new Ministry logo.
This occasion is more than the unveiling of a new visual identity. It represents a defining moment in the Ministryโs continued development following the separation from the former Ministry of Customs and Revenue in January this year. As an independent institution, the Ministry of Revenue continues to strengthen its institutional identity, reaffirm its mandate, and build public confidence in the essential role it plays in supporting national development through effective revenue governance.
The introduction of this new logo reflects our commitment to establishing a clear and distinct identity that embodies our purpose, values, and aspirations as a Ministry. It is a symbol of
professionalism, credibility, integrity, and accountability qualities that define our responsibility to serve the people of Samoa with excellence and transparency.
Importantly, this logo reflects and reinforces our Ministryโs vision: โA Resilient and Prosperous Samoa Through Effective Revenue Governance.โ This vision speaks not only to our responsibilities in revenue administration, but also to our broader role in contributing to a strong, sustainable, and prosperous future for our nation.
Today, I also wish to acknowledge the collaborative efforts that made this achievement possible. The development of the new logo was successfully led by Togafau Patrick Ah Kuoi and the Information and Technology Division team, whose creativity, technical expertise,
innovation, and teamwork brought this concept to life. Their dedication has produced a visual identity that genuinely reflects the Ministryโs institutional values and strategic direction.
The new logo carries significant meaning, symbolising unity, national identity, community participation, and resilient economic growth. Its colours - navy blue, red, brown, and green - represent key values of authority, integrity, leadership, cultural heritage, and prosperity, reflecting the Ministryโs commitment to effective revenue governance and Samoaโs longterm development.
The design also incorporates meaningful symbols, including the Samoan flag, supporting figures, ocean waves, green leaves, the Samoan fale, and tanoa, representing national identity, collective responsibility, sustainability, economic growth, and governance grounded in Samoan culture and traditions.
Ladies and gentlemen, as we unveil this logo today, we do so with a renewed sense of purpose. This logo is not merely a symbol for official documents, communication platforms, or Ministry representation. It is a reminder of who we are, what we stand for, and the responsibility entrusted to us in advancing effective revenue governance for the betterment of our country.
As we move forward, may this new symbol strengthen our collective identity as a Ministry, inspire professionalism and excellence in service delivery, and reinforce public trust and
confidence in the work that we do.
In closing, I extend my sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to this important initiative and to all of you who join us today to commemorate this milestone. Together, let us continue to work towards our shared vision of โA Resilient and Prosperous Samoa Through Effective Revenue Governance,โ for the continued prosperity and development of Samoa.
