The Office of the Valuer-General attended the 25th AfRES Conference in Uganda -Kampala this week. An impactful and engaging gathering of thought leaders shaping the future of real estate in Africa.

From thought-provoking panel discussions and valuable networking opportunities to an insightful site tour, the conference highlighted the importance of knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and unity in driving the growth and advancement of the real estate sector across the continent.

The OVG is pleased to be attend the Royal Institute of Chattered Surveyors (RICS) Africa Conference 2026, taking place today, 26 August 2026, at the Sandton International Convention Centre in Johannesburg.

Key discussions include capital flows and investment trends, investable African cities, responsible AI in the built environment, ESG and sustainability in valuation, infrastructure financing, public sector assets and bankability, and the role of valuation in investment decisions.
