From emerging as PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONS in the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Provincial Debate Competition to proudly representing the entire Copperbelt Province at the SEC National Debate Tournament Grand Finale, the Copperbelt University Debate Society (CUDS) has once again demonstrated that our voices belong in the rooms where ideas shape the future. ➡️🇿🇲

From 7th to 9th October 2026, during World Investor Week, we stood among the finest debating minds in the nation, engaging with critical conversations, challenging perspectives, and contributing to discussions that matter to our financial future.

And what a journey it has been! 💥

DEAREST GENTLE READER,🚨
It feels surreal to be typing these words, but here we are—my final sign-out as the Publicity Secretary of CUDS

When I first took on this role, I honestly didn't fully grasp the weight of what I was signing up for. I thought it would be about flyers, social media posts, and announcements. And yes, it was all of that—but it turned out to be so much more. It became about trust, about representation, and about the profound responsibility of being the voice that introduces CUDS to the world, and the ears that bring the world back to CUDS.

To the executive team and All CUDS MEMBERS —thank you for your unwavering support, your patience with my endless "can you review this?" messages, and for trusting me with the image of this family , the room to grow, and the confidence to speak boldly on your behalf. .—
Thank you for the memories. Thank you for the trust.

As I close this chapter as Research and Strategy Secretary of the Copperbelt University Debate Society, my heart is filled with gratitude.

I stepped into this office carrying more doubts than confidence. I questioned whether I was capable, whether I was enough, and whether I could live up to the responsibility entrusted to me. But this society believed in me long before I fully believed in myself.

Together, we carried forward the vision and promises that *Edgar* left with us. Though he is no longer here, his passion, leadership, and dreams remained a guiding light. I can only hope that, in our own way, we honored his legacy and fulfilled the promises he once made to this society. 🥲

To every executive, member, coach, and friend, thank you. Thank you for your unwavering support, your encouragement, your patience, and the countless moments that reminded me I was never walking this journey alone. Every debate, every strategy session, every victory, every setback, and every lesson has shaped me into a better leader and a better person.

The office may now belong to someone else, but a piece of my heart will always belong to the Copperbelt University Debate Society.
