Our Head of Secretariat, Luca Ferrarese and Italian Contact Point colleagues 🇮🇹 joined Interreg Cooperation Day at the Venice Biennale, celebrating the power of collaboration, stories & connections across borders.

The event also put the spotlight on film production, with directors and producers discussing the challenges of making low-budget films — and their potential to promote territories, local identities and shared values to wider audiences. 🎬

A great setting to highlight how brings people, ideas and regions closer together, and how Interreg can help turn creative ideas into opportunities for territories, including more peripheral areas.

📊 Discover who responded to our survey!

673 stakeholders from across our programme area shared their views on the challenges and priorities that should shape cooperation after 2027...and many additional contributions came from Ukraine and other countries.

Their feedback will now feed into the territorial analysis for the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE 2028–34 Programme.

And the conversation continues: stay tuned for the next consultation round in early 2027!

A nice discovery during our summer vacation in Slovakia: the INTERREG logo at an open-air museum supported through cross-border cooperation.

It was great to see how European investment is helping preserve cultural heritage, local traditions, and shared history for future generations.
