This week we are sharing news about the Kindy Care trial program at our site.
As part of the trial, an external evaluation was undertaken which found that while the Kindy Care program is valued by some families, there are significant challenges in its operation, including low utilisation and financial viability.
The Kindy Care trial will conclude at the end of 2026. The trial has delivered valuable insights and learnings which will inform the department’s early childhood reform priorities and government preschool models that are accessible, affordable, and meet the needs of families.
