Airville State School A small rural primary school at 920 Old Clare Rd, Ayr. Classes run 9am–3pm, with supervision from 8am–4pm Monday to Friday.

Surrounded by cane fields, we offer great facilities, low student-to-teacher ratios and a supportive learning environment. A great small school in the Burdekin District just a short drive out of Ayr or Home Hill. Located at the corner of Old Clare Road and Sheepstation Creek Rd, close to Mt Kelly. Our students enjoy a balance of hands-on learning, technology, creativity, one-on-one support, outdoor play and opportunities to learn at their own pace in a supportive environment. From online lessons and science activities to reading, art, maths games and imaginative play, every day at Airville is filled with meaningful learning experiences.

One of the things we love most about our small school is the strong relationships we build with our students and families. Every child is truly known, encouraged and celebrated for who they are.

🐊 Some of our students have been having so much fun learning all about crocodiles!

From learning all about their habitats and what they eat, to singing and dancing along to “Never Smile at a Crocodile” and building our very own crocodiles out of playdough, there has been plenty of creativity and laughter in our classroom. 🎶✨

Some of our younger students even joined forces to each create a different part of a crocodile before putting all their hard work together to make one fabulous playdough crocodile — complete with big teeth and a long tail! 🐊💚

We love seeing our students work together, use their imaginations and have fun while learning.

🍎 At Airville State School, we are so lucky to be able to provide lunch for our students every Tuesday and Wednesday, along with a healthy morning tea every single day.

This is all thanks to an amazing grant that we are incredibly grateful for. 💛

We love being able to offer healthy options for our students, including fresh fruit and vegetables, delicious wholesome meals like lasagna and spaghetti, and even opportunities to try a variety of new flavours and foods they may not have experienced before.

It’s wonderful to see our students enjoying healthy meals together while learning the importance of good nutrition and trying new things. 🍓

🎉 Happy Belated Birthday to our awesome HOD-C, Mr Keioskie! 🎉

We love having Mr Keioskie as part of our Airville team. Our teaching staff truly value his support, and our students always get excited when he visits our classroom to teach us something new.

The kids especially love his amazing science experiments that help bring theory to life and make learning so much fun! 🧪✨

From learning hard to playing hard, every day at Airville State School is filled with fun, friendships, and opportunities to grow 🌟

If you popped into our classroom, you might find us reading interesting books, exploring our fancy dress area, playing creatively, working hard in our workbooks, or enjoying dedicated one-on-one learning time with our teachers.

You could see us jumping onto our computers for exciting research and online lessons, building our maths skills with hands-on resources, or creating amazing masterpieces with playdough.

Maybe you'll visit during morning tea (provided by the school 🍎), or at lunch time when we’re enjoying our playground, splashing at the water trough, or running around our big oval playing games together.

No matter what time of day you visit, one thing stays the same — we are always learning, always growing, always having fun, and always doing our Airville Best 💙

Thank you for the early mornings, the lunchboxes packed with love, the endless encouragement, the comforting hugs, the cheering from the sidelines, and the quiet sacrifices that often go unseen. Your love, patience and support help shape our students into the wonderful young people they are becoming.
