🔥 While most of you were tucked up in bed… 🛌💤
At around 4am, our members were woken up and called out to respond to the Illparpa Road fire. 🚒🔥
Thankfully, Mother Nature decided to lend us a hand, with some much-needed rain helping to keep things under control. 🌧️
The fire is now contained.
Another early-morning wake-up call for our volunteers, because apparently 4am is the new 7pm!
A huge thank you to our members who jumped out of bed and got moving when the call came in. ❤️

🐂🔥 Bull-B-Q Shaun reckoned climbing on a Harts Range bull was a bloody good idea... and for a few glorious seconds, it actually looked like he might've been onto something!
The bull had other plans and gave Shaun the full Harts Range Bush Sports Weekend welcome, launching him quicker than a snag disappears at a Bunnings BBQ. 🤠😂

Good on ya for having a crack, mate! Anyone can watch from the fence, but it takes a special kind of lunatic to nod your head and say, "Yep... let the angry cow out!" 🍻🐂

Training this week our crew got stuck into a burn over drill, giving some members their first experience with the exercise while providing a valuable refresher for others.
Burn overs are one of the most serious situations firefighters can face, so regularly practising the correct procedures is critical. Training like this helps ensure that if the unthinkable ever happens, our members can react quickly, confidently and safely.
A big thanks to everyone who came along and got involved. Every training night is another opportunity to sharpen our skills, build confidence and make sure we're ready when our community needs us most. 🚒🔥

We're incredibly proud of the dedication, professionalism, and hard work they're putting in while supporting fire operations. Their commitment to helping communities and working alongside crews from across the Territory is a credit to both themselves and the Alice Springs Volunteer Bushfire Brigade.

A huge thank you to our ASVBB legends who gave up their time to help out at our stall at this year’s Alice Springs Show! ❤️🔥
It was great to see so many future firefighters trying on the turnout gear, grabbing the hose, and taking on the challenge of putting out the “flames.” Our famous firefighter scarecrow was once again a hit with the crowd and made plenty of appearances in photos! 📸🌾🚒
And, of course, it wouldn’t be a normal weekend for our volunteers without the pager sounding off! A special shoutout to the two legends who had to leave the stand momentarily on Friday to attend a small grass fire on Larapinta Drive before heading back to the show. That’s volunteer life for you! 🔥💪
To everyone who braved the wet and chilly weather on Saturday... you’re absolute champions! 🌧️🥶 Your commitment helped us keep sharing fire safety, having fun with the community, and proudly representing ASVBB all weekend long.
And to everyone who stopped by for a chat, had a go on the fire hose, or came over to say hello... thank you for your support. We can’t wait to do it all again next year! ❤️🚒

A massive shoutout to our legends who gave up their evening to be based at the NTFRS station on Cracker Night! 👏🔥
Thanks to Monday's welcome rain, it turned out to be a pretty quiet night on the fire front, but it was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our inter-agency relationships and enjoy some great conversations.
A huge thank you as well to our NTFRS mates for the delicious dinner and your outstanding hospitality. We really appreciate having the chance to work alongside such an awesome crew. Looking forward to doing it all again next year! 🚒🤝
