Today is National Close the Gap Day 🖤💛❤️

A day that recognises the importance of improving health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Health, wellbeing and education are closely connected. Every Aboriginal child and young person in South Australia should have the opportunity to grow, learn and thrive - academically, culturally and socially.

Closing the gap in health outcomes starts with strong foundations, and education plays a vital role in supporting the wellbeing and success of Aboriginal learners.

Through the Aboriginal Education Strategy 2019–2029, we are committed to ensuring that every Aboriginal child has access to quality education, support, and pathways to success.
