🔥 Hazard Reduction Burn – Dalmeny | Wednesday 6 May 🔥

The NSW RFS will be undertaking a hazard reduction burn at Dalmeny tomorrow, Wednesday 6 May.

🚒 Firefighters will be working in the area throughout the day.

Planned Hazard Reduction Burn – Lilli Pilli

NSW RFS crews will be undertaking a hazard reduction burn on Friday, 1st May at Balook Crescent, Lilli Pilli.

Firefighters will be on scene conducting controlled burning operations to reduce fuel loads and help protect the local community ahead of future fire seasons.

Smoke may be visible in the area throughout the day and into the evening. Residents are encouraged to keep windows and doors closed if smoke is present and take extra care when driving, as visibility may be reduced.

Far South Coast crews from the NSW RFS will be undertaking a Hazard Reduction burn tomorrow, 30 April, in the Brogo Dam area.

Smoke may be visible throughout the surrounding district during the day. These works are part of ongoing efforts to reduce bush fire risk and protect local communities.

Planned hazard reduction burns will continue today by NPWS south of Wonboyn and west of Bermagui.

Smoke will be visible across surrounding areas and may settle in low-lying communities, particularly overnight and into the early morning.

Fire crews will remain on site monitoring conditions and patrolling previously treated areas.

If you see smoke in these areas, there is no need to report it unless you observe unattended fire

Far South Coast Hazard Reduction Update 🔥

Hazard reduction operations will continue tomorrow, with Forestry Corporation of NSW planning to undertake a burn west of Narooma highlighted on the map in yellow.

Previously ignited burns across the district are also still being actively patrolled to ensure they remain safe and within containment lines.

Smoke will be visible across surrounding areas, particularly during the day, and may settle in low-lying areas overnight.

These burns are a critical part of reducing fuel loads and lowering bushfire risk heading into the next fire season.

Residents are asked to:
• Stay informed and monitor conditions
• Close windows and doors if smoke is present
• Drive to conditions, especially in areas of reduced visibility

Smoke will be visible across surrounding areas throughout the day and may settle in low-lying areas overnight. Motorists are advised to drive to conditions if travelling nearby.

🔥Hazard Reduction 🔥
Firefighters from FCNSW will be carrying out a hazard reduction burn commencing Thursday 23/4/26, west of Lochiel and Pambula on Mount Darragh Road.
Smoke will be visible from this area.

The burn will be suspended over the ANZAC weekend, and recommence on Tuesday 28/4/26 with traffic control on Mount Darragh Road.

What you need to do:
✅Slow down and drive to conditions.
✅Watch for smoke across the road.
✅Avoid the area and obey all road closed signage.
✅Follow directions from firefighters and support personnel.
