Bellingen's monthly Community Market is on next Saturday 20 June, 8am - 2pm, under the old-growth trees of Bellingen Park for another much-loved market day 🌿☀️

Expect a lively mix of artisans, growers, crafts, clothing, recyclers, live music, buskers, good food and coffee, all wrapped up in the relaxed community atmosphere that makes these markets such a local favourite 🎨🛍️🎶

This Saturday 20 June, Jazz in the Old Supper Room feat. OhMaSoul comes to Bellingen Memorial Hall for an intimate evening of groove, soul and live music in one of the town’s most atmospheric spaces. Doors and bar open from 7pm. 🎷

One of the region's lesser-known scenic drives. 🌿🚗

Moonpar Forest Drive is a beautiful way to experience the wilder side of the Dorrigo region — a 75km scenic loop through Nymboi-Binderay and Cascade national parks, with rivers, bushwalks, picnic spots and towering forest along the way. 🌳

Starting from Dorrigo, the route winds through rainforest and old forest country with plenty of opportunities to stretch your legs, wander a short track or find a peaceful riverside stop. A beautiful day or overnight trip for those who love scenic roads, fresh air and discovering a lesser-known areas. 💧✨

Bongil Bongil National Park sits between Coffs Harbour and the Bellingen Shire, just a short drive from Urunga and Mylestom, and offers a beautiful mix of beach, forest and water-based adventure. Popular for fishing, mountain biking, walking and paddling.🚲🎣

There are wild beaches, a rainforest walking track, picnic and barbecue spots, guided tours during school holidays, and even holiday accommodation at Tuckers Rocks Cottage if you feel like staying longer. A beautiful winter weekend in Bellingen for big ideas, bold voices and a town full of literary energy. 🫶🎊

Returning for its 15th year from 5–7 June 2026, the Bellingen Readers & Writers Festival is bringing another standout program to town, including Richard Roxburgh, Virginia Trioli, Jack Thompson and Stan Grant. It’s a weekend for story lovers, deep thinkers and anyone who enjoys Bello buzzing with conversation and ideas. 💬📚

The free Fringe Festival is also back at Maam Gaduying Park, with conversations, performances, live music, open mic poetry, food vendors, coffee carts and a special opening night Local Author Celebration at Alternatives Bookshop. 🎤☕📖

Some sessions are already sold out and others are selling fast, so snap up your tickets while you still can. 🎟️
