Boggabilla Rural Fire Brigade Boggabilla Fire Brigade is situated on the NSW/QLD Border just 8kms South of Goondiwindi.

We are small but fairly active brigade in the Moree district of Namoi Gwydir. We are a VIllage 1 brigade that attends to gras/bush fires, motor vehicle accidents and structure fires, We have 1x Category 1 Isuzu FTS 800 4x4 truck which has 3500L of water and is our main response truck. Our second truck is a smaller version of the Cat1 called a Category 7 and it is a Isuzu NPS 300 4x4 and carries 1500L of water.

MVA ~ Boggabilla

Yesterday afternoon, Boggabilla 1, Rescue, and Rescue Pump 381 responded to a reported MVA south of Boggabilla on the Newell Highway.

On arrival, crews found a road train that had rolled onto it’s side. After confirming the driver was not trapped or seriously injured, crews focused on containing a ruptured fuel tank.

A big thank you to 381 for coming up and assisting 👏

Grassfire ~ Toomelah

Around 11:30pm last night Boggabilla 1 and Goondiwindi 341A responded to a reported large grassfire at the back of Toomelah.

Once fire crews arrived on scene we found a large out of control grassfire. Crews quickly determined that a tactical back burn was the best way to bring this fire under control. Once the back burn was completed crews made the area safe and left around 1:00am.

Another late night job for all our crews 👏

On Friday night our crews along with Goondiwindi Fire successfully put in a back burn to bring the Boat Ramp fire under control before it threaten any properties.

The Boat Ramp fire burned just over 20ha with zero properties under threat 🙌

Another brilliant inter agency job 💪
