📣 A little reminder for families considering Clare Valley Children’s Centre for childcare or preschool enrolment.

We are currently experiencing extremely high demand for childcare places, with our long day care waitlist currently sitting at approximately 2.5 to 3 years.

If you are hoping to access childcare at CVCC in the future, we strongly encourage families to join the waitlist as early as possible, even during pregnancy, as availability can change unexpectedly.

We also regularly receive questions about preschool enrolment. Unlike childcare, there is no preschool waitlist, however preschool placements are prioritised for families living within our catchment area.

Please see our original post below for all enrolment information, links and details about both childcare and preschool processes.

As always, if you have any questions, please reach out to our team. We are always happy to help support families through the process. 💛

📣 Enrolling at CVCC – What You Need to Know

We’ve had a big increase in enquiries recently about attending Clare Valley Children’s Centre, and we know there can be some confusion about the difference between childcare waitlists and preschool enrolments.

At CVCC, we do our absolute best to accommodate every family who would like to join our Centre community. However, we are currently at capacity across childcare, which means our ability to accept new enrolments is very limited.

Here’s a quick guide to help:

Childcare Waitlist (Long Day Care)

We currently have a long waitlist of approximately 2.5 to 3 years.

✅ This means we need your waitlist form as early as possible – even during pregnancy.

✅ Although our list is substantial, we still encourage families to put their name down early, as availability can change unexpectedly.

📩 To be added to our childcare waitlist, please email:

Department for Education (DfE) Preschool

Preschool is a government-funded early learning program for children in the year before they start school.

✅ There is no waitlist for preschool.

✅ Families must submit a Preschool Registration of Interest form.

✅ We prioritise children living within our preschool catchment area.

✅ On only rare occasions can we accept children from outside our catchment.

✅ We strongly encourage families to also enrol at their local preschool.

Download the Preschool Registration of Interest form here:

Find your local preschool or catchment area:

📩 Please return all preschool registration forms to:

If you have any questions, please reach out. We’re always happy to help guide families through the process.

We look forward to welcoming new families into the CVCC community whenever spaces become available. 💛

As part of celebrating Families Week, we were so excited to welcome our community into the Centre for our Families Night tonight. 💜.

Although the weather meant we moved indoors, the Centre was buzzing with connection, laughter, creativity and play. It was incredible to see so many families engaging in experiences together, connecting with educators and building relationships with one another across the Centre.

Our 2026 QIP focuses on how strong partnerships with families positively impact children’s learning, wellbeing and relationships, and this evening was such a beautiful reflection of that in action.

A huge thank you to all of our families who came along and helped make the evening so special. Thank you also to the Department of Human Services for their funding support, our incredible educators and staff for their care and planning, the Lions Club for cooking the BBQ, Paulie Calaby, Julianne Pulford, Watervale Primary School and our visiting OT students for sharing their time, expertise and experiences with our community.

What a wonderful reminder of the strong, connected community we are so lucky to be part of. ✨
