The Clare and Gilbert Valleys Library Service provides safe, inclusive and community focussed spaces at our branches in Clare, Saddleworth and at Riverton (Riverton High School Community Library). The Clare and Gilbert Valleys Library offers traditional library services like borrowing books, DVD's and magazines, but it also provides eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines. Computers, Internet, Wi-Fi I

nternet are also available, as well as coffee, a study space, community lounge, parenting facilities, Volunteer Resource Centre, photocopying, printing and scanning, children's activities, community information, exam supervision, afterschool activities, computer and technology assistance for seniors and more....and it's all FREE.

Also as part of South Australia’s History Festival, the Clare Regional History Group will be providing workshops and information about the records and information that are held, and available to research your family history.

Clare Family History Research

Discover your connections with Clare and surrounding districts. The Clare History Room has an extensive library and research collection and facilities. There will be special openings in May for people who wish to search for family or other connections with Clare’s past. Friendly volunteer research staff will be on hand to assist you. All welcome.
