The Clare and Gilbert Valleys Library Service provides safe, inclusive and community focussed spaces at our branches in Clare, Saddleworth and at Riverton (Riverton High School Community Library). The Clare and Gilbert Valleys Library offers traditional library services like borrowing books, DVD's and magazines, but it also provides eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines. Computers, Internet, Wi-Fi I

nternet are also available, as well as coffee, a study space, community lounge, parenting facilities, Volunteer Resource Centre, photocopying, printing and scanning, children's activities, community information, exam supervision, afterschool activities, computer and technology assistance for seniors and more....and it's all FREE.

Whee waw, whee waw...this week at Clare Library Toddler Tales we are gearing up for a fiery-fun story time learning all about our brave CFS fire fighters. There will be songs, stories and even a special visit!

Baby Bounce is from 10am (although the doors are open just for you from 9.30am)

Toddler Tales is from 10.45am.

Be brave little fire-fighters!

We’re celebrating all the dads, grandpas, uncles, step‑dads, and father‑figures who inspire curiosity, encourage big imaginations and make storytime extra special.

Stop by the library and
pick out a book to share with someone you love or make a card — it’s the perfect way to celebrate Father’s Day. 💛

The final day of Book Week 2026 started with library staff joining Clare Primary School’s parade down the Main Road. 👋👋

Classes from St Joseph’s visited us, and we visited Tarlee Primary School.

Catherine is the Blue Crayon from The Day the Crayons Quit; Tamra is the butterfly from The Very Hungry Caterpillar; Peta is a Minion; Tammy and Jess are Macka and Al from Alpacas with Maracas by Matt Cosgrove; Charles is in his musical suit and Coedy as You from You and Me and the Land of lost Things by Andy Griffiths.

Finally, there was the Book Week Boogie!

Our costumes are being packed away until next year - but we can’t wait to share the fun and adventure you can have with books and reading every single day. See you at the library 📚
