✨ It’s Families Week! ✨
Families Week is Australia’s biggest celebration of families. It’s a time to recognise the vital role families play in our lives and our community. Led by Families Australia, Families Week runs each May to align with the United Nations International Day of Families on 15 May.
The theme, Every Family, Everywhere, is about celebrating families – in all their forms, cultures, structures and experiences – and embracing activities that bring us together.
The Australian Government Department of Social Services shared Mimi’s story from our Katherine branch. Thanks to the new branch, Mimi’s three children now have access to affordable toys, play opportunities and a welcoming space to connect with other families.
