The next stage of the Hardinge Street Road Reconstruction Project is about to get underway from Thursday 11 June, with Transport for NSW resurfacing the section from Harfleur to Wood Street, applying new paving, turning lanes and medians.

We appreciate your patience while this important work is completed. Please plan ahead, follow speed signs and traffic control directions when travelling through the area.

🚧 Notice of Road Works & Temporary Closure 🚧
Residents and road users are advised that Edward River Council will be undertaking works at the intersection of Cemetery Road and Macknight Drive. These works include the replacement of an existing cattle grid and associated pavement upgrades.

• Start Date: Wednesday, 20 May 2026
• Completion: Thursday, 4 June 2026 (weather permitting)
• Work Hours: 6:00am – 6:00pm

During this time, temporary road closures and traffic changes will be in place. Delays may occur, and we encourage motorists to plan ahead and follow all signage.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience while these important improvements are carried out.

The next stage of the Hardinge Street Road Reconstruction Project is about to get underway, with Transport for NSW resurfacing the road between Harfleur and Wood Street, and applying new paving, turning lanes and medians.

When:
🗓️ From Thursday 11 June (approx. four weeks)
⏰ Monday to Saturday 7am to 6pm (day shifts)
🌙 Monday to Saturday 7pm to 6am (night shifts)

Where:
📍Harfleur Street to Holden Court
📍Holden Court to Henry Street
📍Henry Street to Wood Street

What to expect:
⚠️ Lane closures, reduced speed limits and temporary detours/access changes
⚠️ Pedestrian and cyclist detours
⚠️ Noise from machinery and equipment, including at night
⚠️ Longer travel times through the work area
⚠️ Follow the signs to access businesses
