🐣🥚 From Egg to Chick! 🥞🐥

Our Kindergarten scientists have been busy learning all about eggs and where they come from! We put our learning into action by using eggs to make delicious banana pancakes before getting up close with some adorable baby chicks. 🐣💛

A wonderful hands-on science experience filled with learning, cooking and plenty of cuteness! 🔬🥞🐥

Year 6 Canberra Excursion Day 4 Update🗳️

We had an early start this morning, packing our bags and loading the bus before heading off to the Australian Electoral Education Centre. Students had a wonderful time learning all about democracy, elections and voting, and how our democratic system works. They even had the opportunity to experience a real voting process, casting their vote for their favourite fruit! After all the votes were counted, bananas came out on top! 🍌🏆

After enjoying some morning tea in the park, we are now back on the bus and making our way home to Dubbo. Our estimated arrival time is earlier than expected, and we are hoping to be back in Dubbo by 4:00pm. We will continue to keep you updated along the way.

Year 6 Canberra Excursion Day 3 Update❄️

What an incredible day we’ve had on our Canberra adventure! Today we visited Parliament House, where the students had the fantastic opportunity to role-play the process of passing a bill in the House of Representatives. It was a wonderful hands-on experience that brought their learning to life! 🏛️ We then enjoyed a tour of Parliament House before heading to the park for some pizza for lunch. 🍕

After lunch, we made our way to the snow for an afternoon of fun! ❄️☃️ The students enjoyed a snowman building competition and, of course, plenty of snowball fights! There were lots of smiles, laughter and very cold hands!

Tonight, we returned to our accommodation, had some time to wind down and packed our bags ready for our journey home in the morning.

Year 6 Canberra Excursion Day 2, Part 2! 🏅

What a fantastic way to finish a very busy day in Canberra! Tonight, we headed to the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), where the students had the opportunity to let loose and have some fun with the SportEX sport simulations. There were plenty of smiles, laughs and some very competitive moments!🏃‍♀️🏀 We then enjoyed a tour around the AIS and were incredibly lucky to see the Australian Men’s Volleyball Team in training! 🏐 It was a fantastic opportunity for the students to see elite athletes preparing and training at the highest level.

We’re now back at our accommodation, ready to recharge after another big day of exploring Canberra.
