🔥 GET FIRE READY — EUROA 🔥

We caught up with CFA Media! 🎥🚒

Captain Damon Rieusset, Community Safety Officer Teagan Kubeil and 1st Lieutenant Tyson Thomson recently chatted about our upcoming Get Fire Ready event, why days like this are so important for our community, and what we’re hoping to achieve.

This isn’t just an open day — it’s about bringing our community together, starting conversations and making sure people have the knowledge and resources they need before the fire season arrives.

And to our fellow brigades who might be thinking about running something similar — give it a go. 💛🚒

Getting fire ready isn’t something any one brigade or community does alone. The more brigades creating opportunities for people to ask questions, learn, prepare and connect with their local firefighters, the stronger and better prepared our communities become.

As for Euroa… 👀

Our Get Fire Ready event is shaping up to be one you won’t want to miss.

🎉 Happy 55th Birthday to the Euroa Urban Fire Brigade Ladies Auxiliary! 🎉

What an amazing milestone to celebrate. For 55 years, the Ladies Auxiliary has been there supporting our brigade and our community through fundraising, volunteering and plenty of hard work behind the scenes.

The Australian Government will test the new AusAlert national warning system, at 2 pm on Monday 27 July 2026 AEST.

AusAlert uses the latest technology to send emergency messages to compatible mobile phones during local and national emergencies.

Mobile devices across Australia should receive the test alert before the system launches in October.

During the test:
✅ a message will appear on your screen
✅ your device may vibrate and play a loud siren-like sound for about 10 seconds
✅ you do not need to do anything if you receive the test alert.

The system is also being tested with assistive technology, such as hearing aids, screen readers and Braille displays.

If the alert could disrupt you or make you or someone you support feel unsafe, you can turn your device off or switch it to aeroplane mode before the test time.

A great day celebrating first responders Day! 🚒🚑🚓

A huge thank you to Euroa Primary School and the SRC for inviting us along to your First Responders Day. It was fantastic to meet so many students, showcase our appliances and equipment, and talk about the important role emergency services play in our community.

A special thank you for the delicious scones and warm hospitality – they were very much appreciated by all volunteers!

We hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as we did. ❤️

🚨 FREE SMOKE ALARM INSTALLATIONS 🚨

Strathbogie Shire residents can now access FREE smoke alarm installations from 1–14 June 2026 through the CFA Fire Safety Visits program. 🏠🔥

Did you know?
⚠️ 72% of fatal house fires start in the bedroom while someone is sleeping.
Working smoke alarms save lives — and by law, every home must have smoke alarms installed between bedroom areas and the rest of the house.

This program provides:
✅ Free smoke alarms with 10-year lithium batteries
✅ Installation support for eligible residents
✅ Assistance for renters and people in temporary accommodation such as caravans
