The Australian Government is introducing a new emergency warning system later this year called AusAlert.

AusAlert uses the latest technology to send emergency messages to compatible mobile devices during local and national disasters.

These messages aim to keep communities informed so they can take action, saving lives and property.

In the lead up to AusAlert being used, there will be some testing of the system during June and July.

A regional test is happening in the Launceston area on 15 June, followed by a national test on 27 July.

For more information and resources, visit www.ausalert.gov.au.

πŸ¦˜πŸ’šπŸ’›What an AMAZING National Simultaneous Storytime! πŸ¦˜πŸ’šπŸ’›

We are still buzzing after such a fantastic event!

A huge thank you to everyone who made it so special β€” especially our incredible sponsor Bell Bay Aluminium for their ongoing generosity and support. We loved seeing their General Manager, Richard, bring Luna Roo to life β€” the story of a rookie captain leading the underdogs of FC Outback in an exciting soccer showdown ⚽🐨

Because of their suport, every child who attended was able to take home a book, helping to inspire a love of reading and learning in our community πŸ“šβ€οΈ

A big thank you to all the students who joined us β€” you were all amazing! ✨
