๐๐ World Drowning Prevention Day 2026 ๐๐
Last week, we proudly recognised World Drowning Prevention Day and joined communities across WA in raising awareness that every drowning is preventable.
The Queens Park Theatre was illuminated in blue, standing as a powerful reminder of the importance of drowning prevention and the collective effort required to keep our community safe around water.
Our team got behind the cause by wearing blue to show support and spark important conversations about water safety throughout the community. We also hosted a colouring-in competition, giving our younger community members the opportunity to learn about water safety in a fun and engaging way.
We would like to thank everyone who participated, wore blue, entered the competition, and helped spread this important message. Together, we can continue to build awareness, promote water safety skills, and encourage safe behaviours around our pools, beaches, and waterways.
๐ While last week we highlighted the importance of water safety, drowning prevention is something we must prioritise every day.
Anyone can drown, no one should.
