Entries have been extended for the Margaret Scott Tasmanian Young Writer’s Fellowship and Aboriginal Writer’s Fellowship!

You now have until Monday 28 September to get your entries in.

The Margaret Scott Tasmanian Young Writer's Fellowship recipient will receive $5,000 and the Aboriginal Writer's Fellowship recipient will be awarded $10,000.

Both fellowships offer a publishing opportunity in Island magazine.

We invite applications from Tasmanian artists to create external artwork elements to be applied to a fence at the new Bridport Fire Station.

The artwork is to help visually soften the fence and introduce a point of interest to the public-facing side of the building.

Artwork budget: $22,500 + GST

Music Australia and the High Score team are offering travel bursaries for their game audio conference held from 3–4 October 2026 at ACMI, Melbourne.

Travel bursaries are now available with priority given to regional, remote and under-represented communities. Applicants can apply for one of three levels of support.
