🌀✨ Our Prep–Year 2 students had an exciting time exploring design and technology as they created their very own spinning toys!

From planning and building to testing and improving their designs, students demonstrated creativity, problem-solving, and perseverance throughout the process. The highlight of the experience was our epic Beyblade battles, where students put their spinning creations to the test and cheered each other on.

🌟 Week 7 at Jarvisfield State School 🌟

What a fantastic week we had at our school camp in Airlie Beach! Students enjoyed a jam-packed program of activities, built friendships, challenged themselves, and represented our school with pride. A big thank you to our staff for their organisation and care throughout the week, helping to make camp such a memorable experience for everyone involved.

We would also like to congratulate Miss Eliza on successfully completing her final teaching practicum. Throughout her placement, Miss Eliza has been a valued member of our school community, building positive relationships with students and staff alike. She has demonstrated professionalism, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for teaching. We wish her every success in her future career and know she will make an excellent teacher.

Looking ahead to this week, our Year 5 and 6 students will participate in Queensland’s Biggest Online Classroom on Monday, joining students from across the state to learn more about Queensland’s history, industries and identity.

We look forward to another great week of learning and fun at JSS! 💙💛

Day 4 of camp was all fun and games! We started our day by meeting some of the friendly and furry friends down at The Animal Park. After, we decorated our own bags! We then enjoyed delicious pancakes made by Miss Lisa and Miss Vasta! Yum! Mini Olympic Games was next, which was great fun! Mrs Bello even surprised everyone with a ride on the train! 🤩🚂

Day 3 of camp was unbelievably fantastic! We woke up before sunrise, had breakfast and then got picked up by the awesome team Ocean Rafting! We got to the marina, loaded up our boats - Jammin and Wild Thing, and sped off on our adventure! We started off at Hook Island and saw some indigenous rock paintings, then headed to the beautiful Hill Inlet for an incredible view! Later we had a delicious lunch and games at the picturesque Whitehaven beach. We then cruised back to the marina and even did a few donuts in the boat! A day we will remember forever!!!
